From our Exodus series. As we dive into Exodus 5:22-6:12, we want to know what it means to be claimed by God as citizens of His Kingdom, but it’s entirely dependent on who God is. In order to know who we are, we must begin with knowing and discovering who God is. Who are you, Lord? If we want to understand the Bible, we can’t begin with the people in the Bible - we must begin with the God the people are responding to, and what the people are seeing in God. Therefore, we are seeing how the peoples response is appropriate, or inappropriate, to who God is. This sermon is about the Kingdom’s response to the Empire striking back.
