As Pastor Art continues in the series, Challenges of Discipleship, this week's message focuses on Knowing Jesus. In the Book of Ephesians 1:17, Paul prays "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him" What Paul asks for in this prayer is that we grow in the spirit of wisdom and revelation in our knowledge of Jesus. It is in knowing Jesus and being fully persuaded that God is able to do all that He has promised in every area of our life, that we are able to successfully meet the Challenges of Discipleship. But we must also be confident, that He who began a good work in us will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ or in other words, we must be confident in knowing that unlike man, God will not give up on us and He will complete His good work of developing us and helping us to grow.
