The trick of the enemy is to make the bible all about us, to put ourselves at the center and forget that it’s all about Jesus. It’s a very subtle trick of the enemy to lead us into self -centeredness and away from Christ consciousness. The hard work of Christian growth, therefore, is to think less of ourselves and our performance and more of Jesus and his performance for us.
The only way this is possible is by throwing off the shackles of religion and living by the Holy Spirit under His direction and guidance
