It didn’t matter that Jesus knew Lazarus would walk out of that cave in a matter of moments. It didn’t matter that he knew everything would be restored one day. Jesus’s anger and sorrow at not just the death of his friend—but at death itself—is a moving and memorable picture of who Jesus is.
