On Cadet Sunday we’ll look at their theme: coming to God in prayer, especially coming in confidence that God is listening to us. Jeremiah 29:12 says: “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.” Is that sometimes hard to believe? That the Creator God actually takes time and loves us enough to listen to what we are saying to him? Jesus promises that “your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” That should give us great confidence in our prayers to God. But it might also raise a question. If God knows our needs, why pray?
