Luke 1: 26-33 - December 22nd, 2019
If you’ve read as far as Daniel 7, you’ll no doubt wonder where all this is going. Will the saints always be the bloodied underdogs of the beast-nations? In this Christmas message we watch as the prophetic word given to Daniel finally finds its intended target. Just as God said it would. At the perfect time (Gal. 4:4) God sent forth his Son, and the angelic announcement was not unclear: this is he whose kingdom shall never end. It was expected that when the “son of man” arrived he would come with judgment (Ps 2:9), but this would hardly be good news for rebels such as we are! Find out why the arrival of the “son of man” truly is “a great joy that will be for all the people!” (Lk 2:10)
