In today’s episode, I chat with Klint Kendrick, Walmart’s Senior Director, HR M&A and International Workforce Strategy. Over the past 15+ years, Klint has led key growth initiatives in diverse industries including manufacturing, aerospace and defense, media, retail and technology.
Recognized as a global authority on people, culture and leadership issues regarding Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) activities, Klint brings a unique perspective at a time when seemingly every other week there’s a large organizational restructuring announced. From large-scale layoffs to corporate mergers, there’s considerable disruption occurring in a post-pandemic global economy highlighted by demographic complexities, macroeconomic headwinds, and the shift to new ways of working.
The fact is, one of the reasons mergers and acquisitions have a negative connotation is that a majority of them - I’ve read stats as high as 70% - end up failing, resulting in substantial value destruction.
We covered these and so much more in what was a really fun discussion, and I hope you enjoy our conversation, as much as I did recording it.
