Description

When you start a business it exposes your weaknesses and your flaws. If you think you’ve arrived your business will quickly show you that you still have a ways to go.

Somethings that I’ve learnt so far

  1. Your vision must be flexible
  2. You must be flexible
  3. You have to become indispensable
  4. Always prepared. If you stay ready you won’t waste time having to get ready
  5. Make decisions that fit your budget and the overall impact of the business.
  6. Be selective on the advice you take in.

There’s much more to running a business than creating an LLC or an SCorporation. It’s beyond the logo, packaging or service price list.

This leads me to another realization. Your relationships help grow your business, it’s the referrals that boots sales and close deals. I often say if your enemies don’t shop with you, you’re not on top just yet. And even if those who are and personally fond of you don’t purchase you have to be so impactful that their at least watching from a far. Your tribe (group of close friends and family) need to be penciled into your marketing and sales plans. No man is an Island and yes people will not be available but don’t be afraid to ask for help. The worst thing people can say is No and no doesn’t mean it can’t happen

The work doesn’t stop. Being the CEO of your life and your business means working despite how you feel. I’m not encouraging you to not take breaks and sabbaticals when you feel overwhelmed. But I’m saying is don’t cancel I photoshoot because you’re upset, or because you feel lazy. A lazy person never got rich. “I don’t feel like it” never made a million dollars. You have enough barriers don’t let your laziness or frustration be a barrier. Stop expecting applause for everything you do. Work regardless of your efforts being noticed. May you continue on the journey of being the CEO of your life and remember you're never alone!
