In this part of Jesus' prayer to His Father, He prays for His disciples and and for all Christ followers as well. He prays for our sanctification and protection evil in our spiritual warfare. All the world is a battlefield and Jesus is praying that we would be strong and faithful. It's good to know that He understands the world hates us because it hated Him and we need to understand too.
