Sometimes a person can feel so lost, they think they are outside of God's love. Jesus told a story about a shepherd who lost a sheep but went out looking for it. When he found it, he called his friends and celebrated. He told that story because He wants us to know God's heart toward us when we wander away.
no one is beyond the reach of His love and He wants us secure in that.
