Having the Holy Spirit in the Heart makes all the difference in the world for a person who desires a Godly life. what makes this so vital is that it is the Spirit that reveals the deep things of God to the believer. The non-believer who is void of the Spirit can never know those things.
But there is another spirit, the spirit of the world that seeks to lead people astray, away from God. Those who are far from God are under that influence and sadly, it is Satan who is responsible for this spirit.
