Jesus said many things to His disciples before He sent them out. Sometimes what He said was very startling. He told them that He didn't come to bring peace but a sword. Wow!
Jesus knew the Gospel would divide people. Some would accept it and some would reject it. It 's a mystery how people can hear that God loves them and yet reject that message. Because of that rejection, families are divided, as well as friends and other groups of people.
Jesus also called His disciples to count the cost of following Him. That is something we all must do. Listen carefully and see how.
