I do not believe in "diets" because they tend to be a short term fix. People finish their "diet" and go back to their old habits. I prefer that people make slow changes and substitutions in what they eat. This allows a better choice of food and the ability to make long term changes. Eating whole foods is a good start as opposed to processed foods. Eating a plant based diet or at least less meat if you are a regular meat eater. This is better for your health and the health of the planet. And eat locally. Support your local farmers, the food is fresher and it rotates with the seasons.
