Description

There are a number of people with knee pain that suffer from weak hip muscles.  The gluteus muscles, the minimus, medius and maximus, have important functions for the hip, knee and gait.  A weak gluteus can cause knee pain and even increase the risk of an ACL rupture.  Many times strengthening the hip muscles can improve knee pain and knee function.
