Two things are certain in repairing relationship with Jesus as observed from Peter’s story: 1) Jesus will wholeheartedly point you to a second chance to do what you should have done in the first place, 2) he’ll smother you with repeated love until you’re restored in who you know yourself to be. It’ll never be a push back into doing the right thing without a push back into who you are in Christ.
