You are being formed by something. You're swimming in the water of a world that tells us that "self-fulfillment, sexual freedom and economic success are the highest values." You are told that you can reach your potential by self-actualization, self-love and positive vibes. And yet, the water that we're swimming in is polluted. Slimy with anxiety and lack of purpose.
The call of Jesus is an invitation to swim in different water. To follow him. This sermon is a big challenge. Do you actually want to follow Jesus? There's a cost to it. Today, Pastor Ed challenges us and invites us to consider the cost and to consider God's faithfulness if we choose to follow Jesus.
