COMMUNITY MATTERS

Community is part of God’s plan for us to healthy.

Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.  They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.  Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.  All the believers were together and had everything in common.  They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.  Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.  Acts 2:41-47

A commitment to get along.

A commitment to care for on another.

A commitment to worship together.

A commitment to hang out outside of church.

A commitment to celebrate together

A commitment to grow the community

The Local Church is the hope of the world.

1. Commitment is easier together.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but

encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.  Hebrews 10:24-25

Connect to your community

  1. Join a Small Group.
  2. Join the Dream Team.

2. We are Tougher Together.

Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people.                 1 Peter 2:10

3. We can do more together.

Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.  Romans 12:4-5

Every member is a minister.

Every task is important.

Everyone is a 10 at something.
