In Exodus 34 God reveals one last characteristic about Himself, that His name is Jealous. This is not the type of jealously that we would attach to an earthly relationship, but rather it means that God is jealous "for" His Name. He cares deeply about how we represent Him to the world, but if someone were to describe you and I do you think they would use the same type of words that God did when He revealed His Name? Are we carrying or profaning the Name?
