Luke 1:46-55 - Joy about a new baby arriving (Mary’s Song), but it was complicated: she wasn’t married, had no idea what Joseph would say or do, and was a virgin.
Luke 15:11-32 - (Prodigal Son) Joy about the return of their son, but was was complicated: jealously of the other brother, the prodigal working through his sin and shame, the re-entry of that son into their family unit.
Genesis 43 (Joesph) - finally reunited with his father and brothers after they sold him as a slave and told his dad he was dead, but it was complicated: lots to forgive on all sides, to work through and accept
