Hello my friends.

Thanks to all of you that expressed concern about our travel last week. Just to wrap up last week’s events, I did finally make it back to California. After two more soccer games on Monday, we hit the road to head back to Nashville.  Wanting to avoid the white stuff that freezes the roads, we took the long route back to Nashville. The drive may have taken a long 8 hours, and we did avoid the white winter weather. I was able to board my very early morning plane back to California.  Commitment baby!

When I boarded the plane, something struck me as incredibly awesome.  More than incredibly awesome.  This is a first for me and over the years I have traveled a ton of air miles.  But, I have never seen this……ever! I wanted to take a picture but wanted to be respectful of the passengers so I chose not to.

Fortunate enough to have been upgraded to first class, I was stunned to see the entire first-class session filled with women.  Yes, all seats in first class were occupied by women. My friends, this is a first. Never ever have I seen this.

I made a comment to the flight attendant and she too was shocked.  In all her years of working, she had never witnessed it either. I made another comment to the women seated in first class and they were in disbelief too.  The ladies were looking in front of them and behind to confirm.  I think we were all in disbelief.

Ladies, we have shattered the first-class upgrade glass ceiling.  Another first in my life.

Not sure what the glass ceiling is?  Many women over the years have referred to this invisible "glass ceiling", myself included as we strived to get promotions in our careers.

Join in on this week’s podcast to learn about the invisible glass ceiling and more.
