This week’s guest is the excellent Annie McGrath. Annie is a comedian, writer, actor and artist.
As well as being the host of the brilliant Secret Artists Podcast she is a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, having performed a number of critically acclaimed live shows as a stand-up and as part of sketch comedy double-act Twins. Her latest solo show, Shepherd, received five star reviews and led to a Soho Theatre run in 2020.
Annie was selected to be part of a line-up of alternative stand-up and character comedians on Channel 4’s Sparksseries and has appeared in a number of comedy sketches for the Sparks strand. Annie has also appeared in various BBC Three Quickies including The Side Effects of the Pill which went viral. She's also appeared in The Offenders (BBC/Amazon), Soccer AM (Sky Sports), The Joy of Missing Out(Channel 4),Girls Go Trolling(Channel 4), and @elevenish(ITV2) as well as The Blue Door, a BAFTA nominated short horror film, saw Annie acting alongside Gemma Whelan. The film has gained international recognition at a number of short film festivals worldwide.
