Pressure has a way of telling the truth. When life turns up the heat, it does not just reveal what we feel, it reveals what we actually believe. Today I share a simple idea that can change how you walk through stress, uncertainty, and setbacks: tests are not meant to teach you something new, they are meant to show how much you already know. Think about a driver’s test. Nobody hands you the wheel and explains the basics in real time. The test reveals what has already been learned, practiced, and internalized.
We connect that to faith and to the language we often use when we are hurting. Instead of asking, “What is God trying to teach me?” we consider a sharper question: “What is God bringing out of me?” I read from 1 Corinthians 16 where Paul talks about a wide open door for great work even while many oppose him. That is a powerful picture for Christian living in hard times: opposition can be real, and opportunity can still be present, especially when we choose to stand on what we know about God’s goodness.
