Something I learned though, is that while they are wonderful beacons of hope, light, and love now, they couldn't have become that way if they hadn't faced some extremely dark, depressing, and even dangerous struggles in their lives.
And that has inspired me to share about a period in my life where my own darkness almost overwhelmed me.
