In this episode, host Matthew Knabe, MA, LPC focuses on an exercise that is utilized often in the therapeutic process. Calm Space is a technique used to assist us in being grounded, being moved into the here-and-now, and opening up the creativity we possess in our brain. You may notice a slow bilateral stimulation in the track (a pulsating beep that travels from the left side to the right side of the recording). This is something in EMDR (when we are resourcing and reprocessing) we use to reinforce or strengthen the resource by activating the left and right hemispheres of the brain. Through this exercise, we also tap into aspects of Terry Wardle’s creation called formulation prayer.
GivingTuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to use their individual power of generosity to support their communities. This global day of generosity, celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, unites people to support causes that matter most. It’s a powerful reminder of the impact we can create when we come together to give back. https://emerge.org/givingtuesday/
