In Matthew 5:21-26 Jesus begins showing the deeper meaning of law by first exploring the example of anger. Jesus reveals the sinfulness of anger is the same heart attitude that leads someone to murder. Disciples of Christ are held to a higher form of obedience that comes from the heart.
