Pastor Alex continues to walk us through Matthew's account, starting in chapter 12, verses 15-21. The Jews were told about a Messiah who was going to come and save them, but in their minds, they were picturing something completely different than who Jesus actually is. They started to impose their own view of what the Messiah was going to be like, and this leads us to see that their view of the King was all wrong. But Jesus is actually what they needed, what the Messiah was supposed to be, and what we need today: a healing King, and a victorious Servant King.
