In this week's section of Matthew 14:1-12, Alex walks through the difficult passage where we read about John the Baptist's death at the hands of Herod the tetrarch and his mistress, Herodias. We learn about two main forms of fear that Herod demonstrates in these verses: (1) fear of man and fear of exposure. What sins or darkness do you have in your life that you're afraid of being exposed? Through Jesus, we have unmerited grace to not be afraid, and allow His light to expose the darkness in our lives.
