It's only because we love our listeners that we're willing to put our painful moments to good use. When David took Pappy to the airport last week, the short conversation got hummed away. Maybe you've hummified a comedian whose smug style (you know who you are, Bill Maher) turns you off. But David is an earnest comedian. He wants you to be refreshed when you hear him perform or are simply one of the dinner party conversation circles he slides into. But this Hum Snub? It's just hurtful.
