How should we respond to the rulers and authorities that have been put over us? The story of Daniel teaches us the proper way to submit to those that God has given authority. As Christians, we are to respond to our authorities with the knowledge that it is God who has placed them above us (1 Timothy 2:1-6). Not only should we respond with humility and honor, but with gentle criticism when our authorities go against the commands of God.
