In 1 Corinthians 14, Paul addresses spiritual gifts, tongues, prophecy and the purpose of those things for the Church. In the early church they had received gifts in a miraculous manner. While it was good to have those gifts, it was very important to use those gifts the way God had intended. The most important purpose and the Word of God for us today is to be clear, understandable, and edifying to all we teach or come in contact with.
