We get down to the nitty gritty of the amendments on the Residential Tenancy Act and discuss what it means for landlords and tenants everywhere in NZ.
Many of the changes cited are quite reasonable especially those that protect renters' from abuse from their own households and by rogue landlords but a number of the other provisions under the RTA also leave well-meaning landlords very prone to difficult circumstances.
Our discussion aims to take ground the public's expectations of the government policy as well as assist landlords in adjusting to the drastic alterations ahead.
