Hope in God!

Biblical hope is not based on uncertainty, but on an expectation and confidence that a certain good thing WILL happen.
It is a normal Christian experience to fight and struggle to maintain our hope.
5 Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him. Psalm 42:5
Hope: a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain (GOOD) thing to happen.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
We must remind ourselves of who we really are...of the great gifts given to us...of our immeasurable inheritance regardless if we deserve OR NOT!
Our hope is in what Jesus did, is doing and WILL DO! Matthew 26:17-19
The Last Supper
17 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”
18 He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’” 19 So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.
Colossians 1:27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
John 16:7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
The glory - the manifested tangible presence of God resides in us - Christ in me, the hope of glory
Isaiah 40:31... but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
How do we build our hope? TRUST HIM!
Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. TRUST HIM! so you may OVERFLOW WITH HOPE!
Trusting HIM is the opposite of trying to make it happen yourself. Hope begins to overflow when we let go and LET GOD have control.
Even if you are the poorest, most neglected person on planet Earth, you can have HOPE because of the blood and body of Jesus Christ.
You can EXPECT there is something good that WILL HAPPEN in your future. "My Hope is Built on Nothing Less"
