The Almendarez family: Chris, the president of the Round Rock Express, practically raised his sons at the Dell Diamond. Both played for John Carter at Round Rock High School.
Chase played college baseball and is now the head baseball coach of the Huston-Tillotson University Rams.
Luke is recovering from an injury as a member of the Houston Cougars baseball program.
Their dad is a Houston native and also played baseball for UH.
Their life story revolves around baseball and overcoming adversity, including the loss of Chris's wife Jana, and mom to Chase and Luke, to brain cancer.
The stories about playing for their dad, "Coach Chris" are priceless.
