The legendary, recently retired, Texas high school football coach is adjusting to a lot of firsts during his first season away from the sideline as a coach since 1987.
As a Texas high school football head coach, Dodge finished his career with 248 wins and 7 state championships (Southlake Carroll & Westlake).
The former Texas Longhorns quarterback discussed his new found life spending more time with his wife Elizabeth, with his kids Riley and Molly, his grandkids, and playing more golf.
But, football remains a part of his life will forever be a part of his life.
In this installment we discussed the sacred fieldhouse, his last team at Westlake which finished with a 3-peat state title along with some amazing stats on both sides of ball.
We discussed his upbringing in the East Texas town of Garrison where he got his 1st taste of high school football.
How he ended up back in Port Arthur, TX where he became a quarterback legend at the former Port Arthur Jefferson High School.
