Randy and Jenna McEachern are longtime Austinites who are deeply tied to various transition of this great city.
Randy is from Pasadena, Texas and Jenna was a football coach's daughter who is from El Campo.
In this episode, we discuss classic Austin eateries and bars, some don't exist. But, Dirty's was definitely a part of the McEachern's routine.
Randy was a quarterback for Darrell K. Royal and Fred Akers at Texas and Jenna was a Longhorn cheerleader.
Their 1st date was Deep Eddy Cabaret off of Lake Austin Boulevard.
A 2nd date ended up being for a lifetime.
The McEacherns built a family of 2 biological kids (Hays and Bailey) and one adopted son, Lester.
All were Loyal Forever Austin High School Maroons.
Randy made his mark in the financial world and will forever be known as a #HookEm qb who beat OU.
Jenna is an accomplished author of all things Texas Longhorn related books.
Their relationship with the late, DKR and his lovely wife Edith remains strong.
Randy discussed his emotional experience with death after being stung by wasps and the angels who saved his life.
