Three days after God led the Hebrews across the dry bed of the Red Sea, they came to a place in the wilderness where they could find no water. Then they came to Marah, but the water was bitter. The people complained to Moses, asking him what they were supposed to drink.
Midway through the second month of their time in the wilderness, they complained again. This time they told Moses they would have been better off staying in Egypt. How quickly they forgot how life had been.
