In this episode, I get to chat with my Zen Teacher, Julian Daizan Skinner. It’s not every day you get to hang out with a Zen Master and ask him great questions such as:
What advice would you give someone who just can’t meditate? The answer will surprise you.
What’s your top tip for people who are feeling stuck in the horrid fog of overwhelm. You really need this one.
But before I get to ask my questions, Daizan manages to take the discussion straight into the extraordinary depths of awakening and the extraordinarily transformative practice of Reido (spontaneous yoga) and gets me to reveal some of my most transformative and personal experiences on my journey out of overwhelm.
Daizan also reveals his dream of creating a retreat for the practice of Reido - spontaneous yoga - in the tiny abandoned temple on a mountain in Japan called Iwatakisan. I look forward to joining him there one day.
You can find out more about Daizan and his work at www.zenways.org
Follow him on Facebook, youtube and Instagram
And I highly recommend his Practical Zen books which can be purchased from Zenways.org or Amazon.
