Description

Dan Harris is an Army veteran, former law enforcement officer, entrepreneur, scholar with two master’s degrees, former bodybuilder, fitness coach, business mentor, fixed-wing licensed pilot, and single father of two with 50/50 custody.

He grew up in poverty. His father was in prison, mother struggled with drug addiction, and there were times when  his family was homeless. Eventually, he was raised by his grandmother, whose stability and support gave him a foundation during an otherwise difficult childhood. Those experiences shaped his resilience, independence, and determination to build a different life.

During his law enforcement career, he graduated first in his academy class and served as class leader. He spent his first year working in the Prison before moving into patrol, gang investigations, recruiting, field training, recruit training, academy instruction, and defensive tactics instruction.

Dan's law enforcement career ended after a spine injury. While he was out on workers’ compensation, an FBI investigation involving anabolic steroids resulted in four felony convictions. He lost his career and financial stability, and during that same period, went through a divorce and became a single father. Rebuilding his life while remaining present for two children became one of the most difficult and important challenges he has faced.

Through his military and law enforcement service, he sustained injuries that required two spine surgeries and multiple shoulder operations, leaving him with permanent nerve damage. Fitness became an important part of managing the physical and mental challenges that followed, helping him rebuild his strength, confidence, and sense of direction.

He earned two master’s degrees, one in sport psychology and one in industrial/organizational leadership. He also completed flight school, earned his fixed-wing pilot’s license, and built businesses in fitness coaching, online business development, and home services.

Today, Dan coaches clients in fitness and teaches online fitness coaches how to build their businesses. Dan speaks extensively about discipline and business development, as well as poverty, adversity, accountability, rebuilding after major setbacks, and taking responsibility for the direction of your life.
