“And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! *And God granted him that which he requested* .” 1Chron 4:10
“So Moses was educated in all the wisdom and culture of the Egyptians, and he was *mighty (powerful) in his speech* and deeds.” Act 7:22 (AMP)

John Wesley, the famous English theologian and evangelist who lead the revival that birthed Methodist movement is quoted to have said “ *_God does nothing but by prayer, and everything with it_* ” and I agree with him.
There is the *art* and *act* of prayers and both them are critical in enjoying the promises and provisions of God.
So, while it is true that God is good and better than our parents who know how to give us good gifts to children even when they ask amiss (God does that much more) but there is the important part of maturity as believers that will require that until we ask aright we will never get the results we desire, we may not enjoy all that is reserved for the mature believer.
This is where the “art” of praying becomes necessary, so, it is not only about praying but learning the where, how and what of our prayers so that we are not like the hypocrites (Matt. 6:5). It is not about using high sounding and well-articulated words as much as it is in using the full advantage of the provisions of the Cross to thoroughly address every area of our lives including the seeming grey areas where the devil wants to squat.
Hence, like the disciples, we too must say Lord, teach us to pray! The better we pray not just in the act of it but in the art also, the better the outcome of our lives in growing into His expectations of us and the devil will have no foothold in any area of our lives.
May the Lord teach you to pray, increase you in the art and act of praying, hear you when you pray and answer all your prayers;
2. may the Lord make you mighty in words and in deeds;
3. May the devil's influence over any area of your life be thoroughly broken;
4. In every area of your life, ministry, family and career, may the Lord cause you to grow into the fullness of the stature and expression of the Lord Jesus Christ;
5. May the LORD bless you indeed, and enlarge your coast, cause His hand to be with you, and keep you from evil;
