Description

Marcel Marceau, the Chaplin on stage pantomime, transcended his art form. Even those not too amused by mimes recognized his genius. He was a favorite of Red Skelton, and could charm audiences of all types and nationalities. A war hero, a kind gentleman, an inventive comedian and a perfectionist who rehearsed constantly and also taught others how to perform, Marceau was a truly admirable man.

NOTE: about 4 minutes in, for about 90 seconds, you're hearing "Karl Scheit-Johann Sebastian Bach: Prelude for Lute." If you would like to hear the whole thing, check the CD "Masterpieces Of The Classical Guitar" and other compilations. Rights are administered by Koch Entertainment. (Somehow Fred Astaire didn't mention this at the time! And Marcel....not a word!)
