Historical (not necessarily hysterical) comedy from Ford and Hines, back in the un-PC days. It was the time of Buddy Hackett doing the "Chinese Waiter" routine and the "Harry Kari" novelty songs (by Swedish dialect comic Yogi Yorgesson moonlighting in an Asian accent). Making fun of our differences? Bringing us closer together? Or something more sinister? What was "ethnic comedy" about when done by non-ethnics?
