Shecky (Sheldon) Greene may be one of the greatest Vegas comedians of all time. With a late night audience he could build momentum, ad-lib and really kill 'em. Variety TV posed constricting problems, but he still had sure-fire bits he could use. Just why some comics assumed a hand-on-stomach posture...who knows. Encourage belly laughs?
