China, History and Discussion
1st & 2nd Hours
1st full day with the new Jitsi platform. Will post log in instruction below if you're reading/hearing about this for the 1st time.
Had the core group on today and we all wanted Harvey to talk about his partial reading of the book on China written by a U.S. Ambassor, 2 times, to China. Title of that book is: Ways That Are Dark. It gives us a unique window into the Chinese culture before the Communist Revolution.
Talk about the Three Gorges Dam, which is in potential danger of breaching now.
Good show, we'll try to get it where we can use both Jitsi and Skype. Takes a few technical adjustments.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR LISTENING OR JOINING
The new platform, jitsu will be easier for those who call in on phone lines and the show can now be joined seamlessly by simply pasting a URL into a browser tab. Chrome, Brave, Opera & Firefox we know work fine, or seem to at this point. There is also a phone app that works.

When you've connected.
1. PLEASE turn OFF the 'video' feature bottom/right MUTE button. The video feature uses too much extra bandwidth and affects the ongoing conversation.
2. When you are not speaking 'PLEASE' try to keep your devices MUTE button on. Again, to cut background noise and help improve the fidelity of the ongoing conversation.
