A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps
Gifts and Sand
"It's the thought that counts" is a saying that over the years has faded away. Covered up by expensive impulse buys and Good intentions, we just aren't giving our thoughts enough time to make it count. Rushing around all month for the best deals, and best gifts force us to count the days till the holiday season is over. And once it's over, it's got us planning for next season's Holidays.
Time flies during our busiest moments. Mainly because we aren't looking around anymore. Our sights are focused on where to start, and finish. We lose sight on our journeys, and forget the whole experience and joy that came along with the planning.Sadly our best gifts are only as good as the time spent finding them.
So in all the hustle and Hallmark decorations remember this. Your best intentions are the ones given with the most expensive gifts. (Time). It slips through our hands, like the finest of sands. Once it’s given or taken, we can’t get it back, nor buy it back. Like detailed paintings, our lives in the busiest moments have the best memories. Take your time seriously. Share it, give it, and embrace it with loved ones. You never know how much more you may or may not have then someone else.
This Hallmark infused season, I challenge you, to step back out of the chaos and stock up on the finer details of your life. Hold on a little tighter to your time, and gift your best thoughts sealed in the finest of Sands.
