When we make a mature and intelligent decision we understand God’s will, reality. When we live outside of reality, we make emotional decisions. You see, if we are not walking with God, our reach is limited. We are limited in reaching the goals we have for the new year or living peacefully if we don’t understand reality. Emotions are incongruent to reality, because they fluctuate constantly. So, this means that if our life is being lead by “what we feel” then our life will be chaotic. But, when we build a relationship with God, He will guide us in the path He wants us in and we will be able to understand Him. While the Word of God seems confusing to those without a relationship with God, you will understand it because of your relationship with Him. He reveals His Word to His children through the Spirit and this brings peace. And, in the process of building this relationship our ego dies - when our ego dies, we learn to have self-control - self-control allows us to not skip reality. If we skip reality we are constantly victimizing ourselves, and victims only see the fault in others rather than in ourselves. Let’s accept reality as it is, and instead of being the person that says “God walks me, I’m good.” let’s be the person who WALKS WITH God, holding His hand through any circumstance! I’m glad you made it today, I know God brought you here for a reason! God bless you ❤️
