First International Anti-Slavery Award was given to him in London in 1990, Freedom and Human Rights Award in Berne , Switzerland in 1994, Rajiv Gandhi National Sadbhavna Award in 2004 and Right Livelihood Award (Alternative Nobel for Peace in 2004.)
