A bitter root in your heart will keep you from experiencing the abundant life we long for. Bitterness comes from unforgiveness and offense that you hold against people, systems and God himself. It was once said that unforgiveness and a bitter heart is like drinking poison, and hoping someone else dies. The one who is harmed... is you. The Father's desire is that you walk in absolute freedom, enjoying all the fruit in which walking in the spirit produces. Bitterness and unforgiveness produces fruit of the flesh and keeps you in bondage.
We are not promised that life will be easy, or go our way- but God is good, He is Sovereign and we can trust His ways. Even in the midst of heartache, we can still walk in the fruit of the spirit. He is close to the brokenhearted- Let Him heal you today!
