Description

A poem about the unexpected consequences of the war in Ukraine, which has challenged longstanding assumptions about the region and left Europe wondering what is safe to assume in the face of changing geopolitical dynamics.

---

Russia's war in Ukraine,
A conflict that's been true,
Has proven all assumptions wrong,
And left us feeling blue.

Europe wonders now,
What is safe to assume,
As Russia's actions grow more bold,
And tensions continue to bloom.

We thought we knew the truth,
But now our thoughts are proven false,
Leaving us to wonder and doubt,
In this uncertain cause.

But let us not despair,
For we are strong and free,
We'll weather this storm together,
And see our way to victory.

So let us stand tall and proud,
Defying Russia's mighty hand,
For Ukraine and Europe both,
We'll make a stand and take a stand.
