Grass now blankets the hillsides we see,
Where once there was snow as far as the eye could see.

Has caused much stress and frustration for ski enthusiasts.
Slope operators struggle to keep their business afloat,
In these uncharacteristic conditions they must cope.
But the beauty of the Alps remains,
Despite the lack of winter's white gains.
The majesty of these mountains won't fade,
Even as the grass and warm weather invade.
For nature will always find a way,
To adapt and thrive in any given day.
And though the snow may be scarce this year,
The Alps will always hold a special place, dear.
