A 38-year-old satellite, retired and free
Is tumbling through the sky, aimlessly
From NASA it was sent, to do its work
But now it's time has come, to go berserk

Though chances are slim, that it will bring harm
There's still a chance, of debris alarm
But NASA says not to worry, it's "very low"
Most of the weight, will burn and go

So let's all look up, as it falls from space
And appreciate, this small moment of grace
For even though it's old, and no longer used
It still has beauty, as it's reentry is viewed
